Chiquita & Shazam

To educate its banana-loving customers about its sustainability efforts, Chiquita partnered up with DFFRNT Media and Shazam to reveal “What’s Behind the Blue Sticker”.

Utilizing Shazam’s underlying visual recognition technology, various Shazam Codes – Farms, Education, Quality, Environment and People - were put on 220 million of its iconic blue stickers.

Simply by opening Shazam and scanning the Shazam code, the experience unlocks and lets users follow the journey of a banana from Chiquita farms in Latin America to their kitchen tables in a combination of AR, VR and 360 video. 

Starting in mid-July in the U.S. and several European countries for four weeks.
